Qigong Courses

Qigong (pronounced chee gong) is an ancient form of exercise originating in China over 5000 years ago. Often described as ‘moving meditation’, it integrates mindful movements, still postures, meditation and breathing techniques to bring the mind and body into alignment for optimal health and wellbeing.

  • Qigong for Spring and Summer

    In this 8 week course we will use the 5 Element Form to explore the Wood and Fire elements of Spring and Summer . Other forms and flows will includei JinJing (Muscle Tendon Change Classic), Shibashi Sets 1 & 2, The 8 Brocades and 9 Forms of Pre Heaven Qigong.

    The gentle movements of Qigong rejuvenate both the limbs and internal organs - enhancing flexibility, balance, muscular strength, and also have a positive impact on the respiratory system, while the meditative elements increase self-awareness, emotional regulation and relaxation.

    Engaging in regular practice has been shown to alleviate pain for those with arthritis and fibromyalgia, lower hypertension, manage stress, preserve bone density, support cardiovascular health, improve overall quality of life, and combat depression, among a spectrum of other health benefits.

    A session of Qigong will leave you feeling calm, balanced, focused and energised. Come along and try for yourself!
